This is our game for this wonderful competition. The game is a tribute to the most charismatic archaeologist in cinema, we are obviously referring to Tadeo Jones. So we use the category media here.     The game is a single screen arcade with mechanics based on Crater Maze, a PC Engine arcade conversion so it also fits under demake category (despite the graphic changes). We hope you enjoy the game. This was a huge surprise!!!  The Amstrad CPC version just won the CPC Retro Dev! And this version looks the same, if not better! Arcade spirit and great graphics, and well-done all round game, congrats! |

This Looks brilliant! But in my humble opinion "top" red-violet blocks ruin perspective a little. If they were made squeezed over the Y axis, the scene would look more consistent. ![]() Took a second to sketch this up (compare left side to the right) prnt.sc/1zom9fm |

The issue seems to be that the top of those walls is too symmetrical (like they were drawn in a top down view). If going for a perspective like view, a single pixel height line in magenta on the top will help to fake the perspective, since those edges are supposed to be slanted. At least, that's my view on it. But overall, the graphics are just great. I just love those Egyptians standing against the wall. And those sarcophagus are top notch  |

I am not joking, i really dislike this trend of making games only for purchase (i mean: it is ok to sell your game but i think you should make a snapshot available for free). But this is me.

What is the sense of selling a game and offering a snapshot for free? I really don't understand what you mean. Anyway, I respect your opinion and I also would like to have other thing for free in my life. We are happy to have more than 120 supporters. They are our motivation and the reason to expend our valuable time making this games. And the only way to check whether or not we are preaching in the desert. But this is us, we can be wrong. |
